Round Table Conference on Bhadradri Rama Tradition
A Round Table Conference will bring together scholars, spiritual leaders and concerned representatives to discuss the ongoing issues surrounding the traditional practices of Bhadradri Śrī Sītā Rāmachandra Swamy Temple and the call for restoration of the established tradition.
THE ISSUE
What Is Happening at Bhadradri?
Devotees and scholars have raised concerns that long-established traditions associated with Bhadradri Sri Sita Ramachandra Swamy, including important aspects of the sacred Kalyanam, Gotra-Pravara traditions and the historical Hari-Hara heritage of the Kṣetram, have been drastically changed in recent times.
What Changed?
Changes in the traditional Kalyanam procedures, Gotra-Pravaras and the identification of Sri Rama in temple practices.
Historical Evidence
Temple publications, invitations, inscriptions, photographs, recordings and other archival sources are evidence of customs and traditions that have been tampered with.
